FOR ALL WHO WANDER

WELCOME TO THE WILDS! A PLACE FOR THOSE WHO SEEK THE THINGS NOW HIDDEN AND ON THE EDGE OF SOCIETY.

It is a very understandable thing to wander. To seek out new friends and adventures. Some of us feel as if perhaps we do no belong and for a time it is good to wander but we must remember in the end what Aragorn also know as Strider the Ranger did. Below is a poem that was given by Gandalf to the Ranger Strider. It served as a reminder to him of his past and his future. Let these words also serve to be our call as well. This place serves as a fertile grounds to wander and learn the values once give. The most fundamental things though will never truly be lost. “All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king.”

J.R.R. Tolkien – The Riddle of Strider

As we traverse these wilds and open lands let us also remember the wisdom of Bilbo Baggins.

“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”

J.R.R. Tolkien – The Fellowship of The Ring
